What We Do
Act on Ability is a registered NDIS provider working with people across Western Sydney, Nepean, the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, and beyond. We deliver NDIS support coordination, specialist support coordination, plan management, counselilng/group therapy, and consulting services. Our mission is to be a progressive, person-centered independent service provider so that people with a disability can live the lives they want.
Support Coordination
We work with you to get the most from your NDIS plan by assisting you to source and implement the supports you want and work with the providers you choose. We can assist to organise assessments, therapies and support you to navigate the NDIS world. We can also assist you to apply for a review of your NDIS plan if you’re not happy with it or have a change of circumstance.
Act on Ability staff are prompt, respectful, efficient, reliable, and accessible. They are also very helpful and make themselves aware of my needs. In my opinion, they are the best out there and I am happy to have them as my NDIS provider.
My son’s support coordinator works so diligently to help him. Specialist Support Coordination
Specialist Support Coordination is an intensive and time limited period for participants who specifically have this funding in their plan. Funding for specialist support coordination is based on the participant’s immediate and significant barriers to plan implementation.
Depending on individual circumstances, a Specialist Support Coordinator may also design a complex service plan that focuses on how all the stakeholders in a participant’s life will interact to resolve barriers and promote appropriate plan implementation. Once developed, a Specialist Support Coordinator will continue to monitor the plan, but it may be maintained by one of the participant’s support workers or other care supports.
Plan Management
We offer plan management services to support people to manage the funds in their NDIS plans. Plan managers act as an intermediary between you and the NDIS to ensure your providers are paid correctly.
Our children now have a better quality of life because we are able to use our funding in a more effective and efficient way. Having multiple children accessing the NDIS can be tricky at the best of times but with the right plan managers our bills are paid promptly and correctly and I don’t have to stress over any NDIS financial issues at all.
Counselling, Group Therapy & Capacity Building
We provide counseling to individuals as well as innovative group work. Please contact us for details of our latest programs as these services are subject to availability.
Consulting
We consult with small to medium-sized organisations to support them to navigate the NDIS space – whether it is to support them to become a registered NDIS provider, assist with workforce development, or solve a particular set of issues, our consulting services are collaborative, creative, and confidential.
